At the heart of the Metroid nest lies a sophisticated genetics laboratory. This place appears to have been evacuated in a hurry as most of it is still intact. Inactive and broken stasis modules populate the various isolated rooms. Besides all the artificial life support capsules, there are also remains of small organic masses: eggs. Something must be laying these eggs.
